Stephen Chong As a Learning and Development Manager with WHK, Stephen specialises in the development and training of supervisory and management skills.
T: 07 4052 3222 Relevant Experience Prior to joining the WHK team, Stephen was the Recruitment and Training Manager for Martin College for over eight years. In addition to managing the Cairns Campus (human resource, student management and operational issues), he has been integrally involved in the design, development and implementation of numerous corporate training initiatives in the Far North region, for a wide variety of organisations and industries. Within this period at Martin College, he also managed and coordinated the success of Martin Employment, an Australian Government job network employment services provider for five years. Prior to joining Martin College, Stephen had a highly successful career in the financial services industry with Colonial Mutual and Suncorp as a regional manager for 13 years. These positions involved location in Melbourne, Hobart, Darwin, Sydney and Cairns. During this time he gained experience in many aspects of sales management, training and development, negotiation and selling skills, conflict resolution, team building and change management, as well as recruitment, selection and career development of staff.
