The Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) is a nationally recognised qualification and is highly regarded as an effective vehicle through which you and your key staff members may develop your management skills and qualifications. It is designed to enhance participants’ general management ability which in turn translates into better decisions which result in greater productivity. The WHK “Business Success Centre”, working in conjunction with Cairns Region Group Training (provider number 1607) is pleased to be able to deliver this program for you.

The Frontline Management program is designed for managers, team leaders, professionals and others who are, or may become, responsible for driving and implementing policies, managing staff and generating key organisational business objectives. It will propose fresh approaches to help build capacity within your organisation and your team.

The Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) comprises of 8 modules of training:

Core (5 required)

  • Implement Operational Plan
  • Promote Team Effectiveness
  • Develop Work Priorities
  • Monitor a Safe Workplace

Electives (selection of 3)

  • Implement Workplace Information Systems*
  • Implement Continuous Improvement
  • Develop Teams and Individuals*
  • Coordinate Implementation of Customer Service Strategies
  • Promote Innovation and Change
  • Identify Risk and apply Risk Management Processes
  • Manage Projects
  • Communicate Electronically
    * One of these must be selected as an elective

Alternative Pathways

The Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) can be attained through a choice of alternative pathways;


1. Training and Development pathway – through a programmed series of training sessions (individual or group) in which participants learn, develop their skills and achieve the qualifications.


2. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – for experienced staff who have been working for several years and have the necessary skills and knowledge but no formal qualifications, the Recognition of Prior Learning pathway may  be the answer.
